Anthony Bromley

Anthony Bromley, born in 1968, is the son of Shropshire stud owners, Bill and Di Bromley, who up to the summer of 2012 owned and ran Wood Farm Stud which was one of the pre-eminent National Hunt stud farms in the U.K. over the last 30 years, standing the likes of Space King, Sir Harry Lewis, Classic Cliche and more recently Lucarno.

Anthony joined David Minton Bloodstock from school in 1987, during which time he also gained valuable experience with spells at Cheveley Park Stud, Shadwell Stud (UK) and at Lane’s End in Kentucky. In 1995 David Minton Bloodstock was taken over by the British Bloodstock Agency and Anthony became a UK Director. In 2001 David and Anthony left the BBA and established Highflyer Bloodstock.

Anthony is married to Anna (daughter of the legendary Rutland-based vet and stud owner Richard Watson) and they have two sons, Joe (2000) and Ben (2002). Anthony currently sits on a number of Committees/Councils including the Federation Of Bloodstock Agents Council.

David Minton

David Minton, born in 1950, has been at the top of his profession for 50 years. A previous Director of the Curragh Bloodstock Agency and his own David Minton Bloodstock, he was head-hunted by the British Bloodstock Agency in 1995 along with Anthony Bromley.

They left in 2001 to set up Highflyer Bloodstock and with Anthony based in Newmarket, David lives with his wife Juliet at Mill House Stud in Shropshire. Juliet is one of the top consignors/breeders in the UK and Mill House Stud is synonymous with quality at the horse sales all across Britain and Ireland.

David has bought three Grand National winners Hedgehunter, Party Politics and Ballabriggs as well as five Champion Hurdle winners during an illustrious career.

In recent years some of the jumps superstars that David has sourced for his clients include Altior, Sprinter Sacre, Bobs Worth, My Tent Or Yours, Shishkin and The New One.

David has two daughters, Zoe and Kirsty, with Zoe now having two children, with the husband the former Tattersalls Auctioneer Ollie Fowlston, who is now managing the UK division of Clipper Logistics.

He currently is a director of Ludlow Racecourse and is still actively pursuing his golfing career!

Tessa Greatrex

Tessa Greatrex (nee Clark) works for Highflyer Bloodstock at the sales and is an up and coming bloodstock agent who has already achieved an outstanding winners to purchases record buying numerous winners for the likes of Oliver Sherwood, Charlie Longsdon, her husband Warren Greatrex and Ben Paulling.

She had her first Cheltenham Festival winner in 2015 in the shape of Cole Harden. In 2023 she enjoyed a big Aintree winner with Warren having selected Topham Trophy winner Bill Baxter privately in Ireland for his enthusiastic owners. Other Graded winners purchased by Tessa include dual Grade 1 winner Barters Hill, Willoughby Court (Gr 2 winner in 2017), Kilcooley, Deputy Dan and Puffin BillyMore recently she has been responsible for buying Festival winners Missed Approach, Portrush Ted, On The Blindside and Keepers Hill.

Tessa was a leading lady point-to-point rider in Cheshire and previously worked for Nicky Henderson. She married successful Lambourn trainer Warren Greatrex in October 2009 and their daughter Evie arrived in the late summer of 2010 with their second daughter Nell being born in April 2012 and third Nancy in October 2014. They are based at the famous Rhonehurst Stables in Lambourn.

Bernice Emanuel

Bernice Emanuel heads up the office in Newmarket and has worked with Anthony and David since 1996. She has worked in the racing industry for over 30 years, having previously been racing secretary to Ben Hanbury.

Bernice is an integral part of Highflyer Bloodstock and helps to run the well-known Million In Mind Partnership, whose 180 enthusiastic members have enjoyed Cheltenham and Aintree successes over the years, with the likes of Mysilv, Garde Champetre and Tricky Trickster.

Away from work Bernice enjoys the theatre, eating out and walking her two Border Collies and in 2009 they all completed a 10-mile charity walk, raising over £4,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
