Highflyer’s flat season continues to go from strength to strength with Jumby taking the Group 2 Hungerford Stakes in great style at Newbury for Eve Johnson-Houghton.
He was purchased as a yearling for 45,000 Guineas at Tattersalls for his owners. This follows a brilliant Royal Ascot where Bradsell (£12,000 yearling buy) was a sensational winner of the Group 2 Coventry Stakes. Trueshan (31,000 buy) continues to run well at the top table of the staying division, winning the Northumberland Plate with a whopping 10st 8lbs on his back off a mark of 120. A number of smart-looking two-year-olds have been winning this summer too, incl. Blatant, Streets Of Gold, Pandora Lovegood and Boy Browning, who were all bought as yearlings for 30,000 Gns or less.
