Marie’s Rock, a €35,000 store purchase as a 3yo for Middleham Park Racing, won her first Grade 1 race at the Cheltenham Festival when taking the Mares champion hurdle on Day 1.
She was the second Gr1 winner of the meeting for longstanding client and trainer Nicky Henderson and she was purchased at the Goffs Land Rover sale in 2019. This was her 3rd black-type victory over hurdles and she may head to either Aintree or Punchestown next for another Grade 1.
